Course Day 4: Creating Content that SellsPost

Welcome back to Day 4 of my 5-day LinkedIn course! So far, we’ve covered how to optimize your profile, build your offer, and set up an effective email funnel. Today, we’re shifting gears to focus on creating LinkedIn content that truly sells.

Day 4 of the Course:

  • Strong Hook

  • Interesting Story

  • Converting Conclusion

  • Capture Emails

Alright, Let’s Dive In:

Today’s lesson is all about crafting content that captures attention, tells a compelling story, and converts readers into clients. I’ll also show you how to seamlessly capture emails through your content, turning your audience into valuable leads.

To demonstrate the effectiveness of these strategies, let me share a recent LinkedIn post and the results it achieved:

  • Increased Engagement: Boosted reactions and comments, leading to deeper connections with my audience.

  • New Connections: Attracted valuable followers interested in what I offer.

  • Lead Generation: Generated inquiries that converted into paying clients.

  • Enhanced Visibility: Significantly improved the visibility of my brand on LinkedIn.

While these results reflect my experience, the principles behind them are universal. With consistency and the right approach, you can achieve similar outcomes tailored to your goals.

Step 1 | Pulling Your Audience In:

The success of my posts often comes down to the hooks I use.

Here’s an example of a hook that’s worked well for me:

“I can’t believe this finally happened…
But I’m excited to share the results with you!”

Always aim for two short, impactful one-liners that spark curiosity and emotion. These hooks are designed to grab attention and make your audience want to read more.

Pulling the Audience in.

The first line piques curiosity by hinting at something I’ve “finally” accomplished. The second line deepens the intrigue by mentioning a new role or achievement, which encourages readers to keep going.

Once I’ve captured their interest, they’re more likely to dive into the rest of my post.

Here are 7 types of hooks I often use:

  • Show: “How I…”

  • Teach: “How To…”

  • Tell a Story

  • Achievement

  • Bold Statements

  • Strong Opinions

  • Big Numbers/Stats

To make your hooks even more effective, here are 3 formatting tips I use for all of mine:

  • Use numbers (odd numbers tend to perform best).

  • Use colons to create curiosity (“:”).

  • Get to the point quickly—go from point A to point B without unnecessary details.

Step 2 | Write a Story:

Stories are incredibly powerful on LinkedIn—they resonate with people on a deeper level.

As a LinkedIn coach and content creator, I’ve invested in various coaching programs and online courses over the years. I’ve taken those experiences and turned them into stories that connect with my audience today:

Storytelling Example

This is how you build credibility and share your experiences.

By consistently sharing stories that reflect your journey, you’ll gradually build credibility and earn the trust of your audience.

Step 3 | End with Impact:

Here’s the order to follow:

Strong Hook → Engaging Story → Impactful Conclusion

Strong Hook —> Engaging Story —> Impactful Conflusion

I clearly outline what my audience can expect from my content and coaching.

I don’t promise immediate monetary gains, but I can assure you that if you apply the systems and strategies I share, you’ll start seeing results.

Lastly, when creating content, consider using more personal photos of yourself. While selfies can work, higher-quality photos taken by others can make a stronger impact.

Step 4 | Have a Purpose:

Every post you create should have a clear purpose. It could be one of the following:

  • Capture Emails

  • Generate Sales

  • Inspire

  • Educate

  • Entertain

  • Convert Leads

And the list goes on.

As you create your posts, always know their purpose. If your audience understands the intent behind your content, you’ll achieve much better results.

For example, at the end of my LinkedIn posts, I often ask people to sign up for my exclusive content (link in bio). The primary purpose of my posts is to capture emails and grow my list.

The Next Step:

Now that you’ve mastered creating content with purpose, it’s time to focus on scaling your business using analytics.

If you’re not quite ready to:

  • Create content that consistently brings in new clients,

  • Grow a strong, engaged following online,

  • Save hours each week by optimizing your strategy,

  • Take full control of your time and business growth,

Don’t worry—I’ll be sending you Day 5 of the course tomorrow.

I’m working on some exciting new resources to help you take action and achieve your LinkedIn goals, so stay tuned!

See you tomorrow!
